Parish: A sequel to Freakhouse by Ashley Newell
The Freakhouse story continues....
After five years as inmate 001014126, Dotan Abbott has caused his last problem in the Freakhouse - or at least that's what the Institution is trying to ensure.
Stripped of his free and pampered life in D46, Dotan is taken into the very bowels of the Institution where the adult criminals are kept - Zero Block. In here, Dotan must find his place among a new gruesome group - his very survival depends upon it. If only he were as concerned about his own survival as his Docs are.
The once gentle-spirited Blanky is now a broken man, barely keeping afloat - and barely wanting to. If his Docs want him alive, they'll have to give him a reason to live.

Welcome to the Dr. Julius Ellis Latham Institution, the country's leading research centre and manufactory facility, or as those of Latham County like to call it, the solution to the ever-rising economic crisis. Live well at ease knowing that these top-of-the-line professionals are working hard to keep you employed in dignified careers, housed in up-to-code family-friendly neighbourhoods, and your children freely educated in citizenship-building curriculums. Why would you ever want to live anywhere else?
Unless you're Dotan Abbott, better known as inmate 001014126. He was just a child when the Institution took his father away, and barely fifteen years-old when they came for him. The county maintains its perfection by keeping the Institution filled with society's unwanted. Dotan knew his fate would bring him here, and for five years he learned to become a part of the routine. Now, the morning of his twentieth birthday, his life is no longer in his hands. Whatever the Institution needs him for, he is at the mercy of nameless White Coats. He has no idea what's in store for him, but an encounter from his past is certainly the last thing inmate 001014126 could ever have expected.

Despite being one of the world's most reputable film directors, Michael Wolfgang has begun to question the meaning behind his work. In an attempt to end his streak of sell-out productions, Wolfgang takes on a high-risk script, going against the advice of his friends and colleagues. The script comes to life, telling the story of an orphaned boy from Ancient Greece, played by a former child star who has issues of his own to resolve. What begins as an artistic challenge quickly consumes the lives of those involved in the film. Wolfgang is determined to stay true to his vision, but at what cost to his cast, crew, or even his own sanity?

Step through the stones of Craigh na Dun and run through the Scottish Highlands with the handsome Jamie. The year is 1743, and the outlaw James Fraser is at your side as you navigate the thrills and dangers of the Highlands. Use your wit, reach the right locations, make the right friends, and gather the items you need, all while keeping Jamie out of the hands of the many who would do him wrong. The gallows await fair Jamie (or worse!) should you fail. Fulfill your destiny and win his heart, only then will victory be yours!
You have stepped into the role of Claire Randall, a resourceful woman out of her time and thrown into the wilds of eighteenth century Scotland, travelling alongside the outlaw James (Jamie) Fraser who is your one true destiny. In this game, you will select an Event scenario to fulfill, ensuring that you travel to the right locations, meet the right friends, and accumulate the right items that match the given scenario. As Jamie moves about the board, he may encounter any of three enemies: The Watch, The Red Coats, and Black Jack Randall. Fulfill your Event while keeping Jamie away from his enemies, and ensure that you’ve gained more of Jamie’s favour than any other player. As a co-operative game, every player aims to fulfill the Event in play to win the game. Competitively, the player who has gained the most Favour from Jamie wins his heart and is the true winner of the game. If Jamie should encounter an enemy with no means of escape, the Event is failed and the game is lost for every player.
Witchful Thinking - 3 Promotional Character Cards
During Witchful Thinking's Kickstarter campaign, three promotional Character cards were unlocked. These Character cards are not included in Witchful Thinking, and they are not available for retail.
GRIKK THE GREMLIN
Grikk's first Character Ability, Mischievous, represents every gremlin's instinct of ruining peoples lives and sabotaging their dreams. This Character Ability allows Grikk to force a witch to swap 1 Potion card of his choice with him or another witch when he plays a Sneaky Witch card. In Witchful Thinking, the winner of the game is the player who has collected the most Potion cards. If there is a tie, all tied players must add their own Potion cards together, and whoever has the greatest value wins. This means that players want Potion cards with positive numbers instead of negative numbers to ensure their own victory. So for example, if a witch has the Elixir of Life which has a value of +18, Grikk can use his Character Ability to take that valuable card away and give it to another witch instead, or he can take it for himself.
Grikk's second Character Ability, Trickster, represents every gremlin's desire to play tricks on others. This Character Ability allows Grikk to force a witch to swap their entire hand of Ingredient cards with another witch or himself when he plays a Sneaky Witch card. Forcing other players to swap their cards with each other can be a useful tactic because you can interrupt what the players were planning to do next. Alternatively, Grikk can use this Character Ability to get new cards if his own cards are no good.
PATRICIA THE POLTERGEIST
Patricia's first Character Ability, Ghost, represents all of the ectoplasm (or Ghost Goop) that she leaves around. When Patricia places Ghost Goop into the cauldron, it is super concentrated with ectoplasm and is worth +4 instead of +3.
Patricia's second Character Ability, Haunt, represents how spooky ghosts can be. Haunt allows Patricia to scare another witch into missing their next turn. Patricia can use this ability once per Potion card.
BETSY THE BAT
Betsy's first Character Ability, Echolocation, represents Betsy's unique senses to find the best ingredients. This Character Ability allows Betsy to double the value of an Ingredient card that she places into the cauldron. So, if an ingredient has a value of +4, Betsy can keep the value as is, or can change it to +8.
Betsy's second Character Ability, "It's in My Hair!", represents how people may react to bats if they are scared of them... and if the bat flies around them and maybe land on their hair. This Character Ability allows Betsy to interrupt another witch's turn by making the witch take back an Ingredient card that he or she just placed into the cauldron and exchanging it for a different Ingredient card.
Some people make and sell bread for a living, while other people make and sell shoes. You, on the other hand, are a witch and you make and sell potions with other witches. You and the other witches are competing against each other to be the first to make each potion. Each potion requires a specific balance of ingredients. All you have to do is add in the right final ingredient to make the potion, and the potion is yours! Whoever has the most potions when the game is over wins.
Witchful Thinking is a mathematics-based card game of mixing ingredients of different numerical values in a cauldron to produce a potion of equal value. Each Ingredient card has a number ranging from -5 to +5 and each Potion card has a number ranging from -19 to +18. Players race to adjust the formula in the cauldron by adding ingredients until the correct potion value is made. Once a player has the correct value, they win that potion!
